    Are you interested in presenting at next year's CDAA Conference?

    The 2017 CDAA National Conference will run from 17-19 May at the Pullman Hotel - King George Square in Brisbane. Super Early Bird registrations will be open from early October.

    If you are interested in presenting at the conference, submit an abstract to the CDAA Conference Committee.

    Abstracts can be submitted via the CDAA website from Monday, October 3. Submissions close on Friday, October 21.

    REA, a global career consulting firm specializing in career transition and acclimation assistance for the spouses/partners of relocating employees worldwide is seeking a Part-Time International Career Coach who is fluent in English and local to support expat clients relocating to the Shenzhen area of China. I thought the APCDA organization might be a great resource in finding a local coach referral. Perhaps this could be shared with the member and professional network?

    - Relocation and Acclimation Support
    - Professional Resume/CV Writing
    - Career Assessments
    - Support and Resources for the Job Search  

    Additional Coach Requirements Include:
    • 
    Flexible schedule to deliver services across multiple time zones

    • Familiarity with the local job market and resources for the job seeker

    • International coaching or related intercultural/expat experience

    Language requirement: Fluent written/spoken English and the local language

    • Available to provide occasional face-to-face coaching as needed
    • Not be working full-time
    • Able to work with a diverse population of international clients across varied career levels and industries pursuing career related, volunteer, entrepreneurial or other meaningful pursuits.

    A new service for Chinese youth who wish to enter college in the US is being developed by New Dream Services, Inc. (www.newdreamservices.com). They are seeking one full time bilingual credentialed counselor specializing in college planning services in Southern California to assist with the development of services and assure quality of service after the development phase.  They are also seeking part-time college counselors to work with Chinese students through online services.  Scope includes college entrance advising, career planning, and psychological support.  Contact Yong-Ming Zheng, New Dream Services, Inc., yozheng@gmail.com for more information.
